My friend Sarah has been enthusing about this abandoned warehouse she's discovered that she wants to explore.  This January we finally got down there.  It was so much more than an old warehouse - a huge factory complex which once employed 2000 people, just rusting and falling apart in the rain.

I took a day off work to have a break.  I got my last parcel mailed and sent out my Christmas cards, and then I headed over to Chester to do the last of my Christmas shopping.

As it was a week-day, and we normally head down on Saturdays, it was relatively quiet.  I got such Christmas presents as I had left to get, and generally had a nice time.  ( Read more... )

Spent the weekend visiting fatkraken .  We looked around town, and I spent lots of money I shouldn't have.  We now have new videos, new books, a new game and lots of Lush soap I want to eat as it smells of Jelly Tots.  We ate at the all you can eat generally oriental buffet (Thai, Chinese, Japanese plus various others).   We watched watched really big Star ( Read more... )

I've had a day of computerfail.  My PC at work was constantly logging me out of the system while I was on calls (which has no appreciable effect apart from making it look like I'm not working when I am), I was unable to print to my printer because I didn't "have enough access" and my headphones stopped working altogether half an hour before the end ( Read more... )

This Sunday kiebeau  and I went to South Stack RSPB nature reserve. 
This consists of a load of heathland and rocky cliffs on the shore of Anglesey, with large numbers of birds, and a range of other wildlife.

kiebeau  and I went to Llandudno on Saturday.

Unlike most people I spend time with kiebeau is relatively unphased by me climbing into hedges and crouching down in the street for the sake of taking photos.  In fact, she actively points out new and random things to photograph.

Therefore I ended up with quite a lot of photos.
